“BEAUTIFUL LUXEMBOURG”
by the attendees of the photography workshops of the Polish Culture Festival as well as the members of the CIEL Club

The photography exposition, which we would like to present to you, is the effect of the intense work done by the attendees of the workshops and open air photography of Irek Graff from 2015 and 2016. Some of the authors are decidedly beginers (at the time!), and some are professionals with a rich and interesting portfolio. On the photos you will find Luxembourg in an entirely unknown perspective, or in a famous environment shown in an unconventional way. Keeping the theme in mind, the landscape and detailed nature or architecture are the dominant works made by the attendees of the workshops lead by Irek Graff.
As one of the priorities of the Polish Culture Festival is to bring together Polish and Luxembourgish culture, we invite you to co-operate with us through your own creations at the Luxembourgish Photography Club European Union Institution in Luxembourg (CIEL).

OTWARCIE WYSTAWY FOTOGRAFII “PIĘKNY LUKSEMBURG”
w niedzielę 23.09 o godz. 15:00 na zamku Bourscheid
Piękny Luksemburg w obiektywie uczestników warsztatów fotograficznych Festiwalu Kultury Polskiej oraz członków klubu CIEL
Wystawa prezentuje 50 fotografii 10 autorów i można ją oglądać do 19 października.
Planowany jest kameralny koncert i pokaz zdjęć.

Temat „Piękny Luksemburg” kojarzyć się może z kalendarzem albo hasłem reklamowym agencji turystycznej. Dlatego nie byłem zwolennikiem tego tytułu. Nie fotografowaliśmy z takim celem i nastawieniem. Początkujący starali się okiełznać sprzęt fotograficzny i po prostu zrobić godne zdjęcia. Uczyłem ich wrażliwości i spostrzegawczości. Powtarzałem często, że dobrą, szczerą i wartościową fotografię można wykonać tuż obok, na strychu, za płotem, przed domem. Nie trzeba jechać w dalekie egzotyczne miejsca.
Angielskie powiedzenie mówi: „Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” – Piękno jest w oczach oglądającego. Ale czy tylko tam?
Na pewno piękno jest w oczach dziecka i sercu matki, gdy na to dziecko patrzy z miłością. Jednak czy nam się udało uchwycić na naszych zdjęciach jakieś (jakie?) piękno Luksemburga, pomimo tego, że nasze wspólne plenery i moje spotkania z tą krainą były tak krótkie? Nie wiem… Proszę sprawdzić osobiście. Zapraszam na wystawę 🙂

Le Luxembourg sous un beau jour
dans l’objectif des participants à l’atelier photographique du Festival de la culture polonaise et des membres du club CIEL
Le château de Bourscheid
Vernissage: dimanche le 23. septembre, 15h
L’exposition photographique que nous aimerions vous présenter est le résultat du travail intense des participants aux ateliers et aux sessions photo en plein-air animés par Irek Graff en 2015 et 2016. Une partie des auteurs étaient (alors !) encore débutants, d’autres sont des professionnels avec un portfolio riche et intéressant. Sur les photos, vous trouverez un Luxembourg complètement inconnu ou parfaitement connu, mais montré sous des aspects inhabituels. En raison de l’objet des ateliers dirigés par Irek Graff, les paysages et les détails de la nature ou de l’architecture dominent les travaux des participants.
Comme l’une des priorités du Festival de la culture polonaise est de créer des ponts culturels entre la Pologne et le Luxembourg, nous avons invité le Club photo des Institutions Européennes à Luxembourg (CIEL) à coopérer à la création de cette exposition.
